Alexander is a Senior Associate at Runa where he’s focused on deal sourcing and due diligence on prospective investments. His previous experience includes development of telecommunications technology at an international R&D lab, market strategies at Intel Corporation and business development at a venture backed startup in Estonia. 

Alexander holds a BSc degree in Electronics and MSc degree in Physics from NUST MISIS, all with highest honors – summa cum laude. In addition he holds a MSc degree in Innovation Studies from Skoltech and the MIT collaborative program. He speaks English, Russian and Romanian.

Andre is a Partner at Runa where he works out of the Palo Alto office and leads efforts in regulated markets such as fintech, education, and healthcare. He currently holds board seats at Lendio, Smava, Schoolmint, Mambu, EchoPixel, LendingRobot, and Station X.

Prior to Runa, Andre headed the Russia/CIS Equity Capital Markets Group for Goldman Sachs (2010-2011) and UBS (2006-2009). He’s worked on over 20+ IPOs and other financings worth over $10B – including Mail.ru, Comstar, and Sistema. Andre graduated from Moscow State University with a master’s degree in Cross-Cultural Communications.

Dmitry is a co-founder and Managing Partner at Runa and is also head of the board at IT-cluster Phystech, a large infrastructure project at MIPT — one of Europe’s leading universities. He currently holds board seats at NGINX, Jelastic, LinguaLeo, Ecwid, and Cellrox.

Dmitry’s MSc in Applied Maths and Physics at MIPT and strong technical background give him a deep understanding of cloud computing, hosted services, and virtualization, as well as financial, healthcare, and educational IT-technology. His MBA (cum laude) and 18 years of executive experience, which includes growing a business from zero to $75M and managing HR for a giant international telecom supplier across 7 countries, also makes him an excellent “hands-on” investor.

Dmitry is a Principal at Runa and helps lead the firm's European investing, focusing on a variety of areas of software including machine intelligence and VR. Dmitry currently sits on the board of Wallarm.

He joined Runa in January 2011 and was previously Strategy Director at Rambler Internet Holdings, focusing on business reorganization and marketing. He holds an MS and PhD in Physics from Moscow State University.

Jeff joined Runa Capital in 2016 and assists portfolio companies with capital raising and liquidity events.

Before joining the Runa team, Jeff worked in Seagate Technology's Strategy and Corporate Development group, responsible for strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures. Also a member of the Seagate corporate venture team, Jeff helped manage the company's strategic investment portfolio, investing in innovative storage startups and serving as a board observer for several portfolio companies. Prior to joining Seagate, Jeff worked as an investment banker at Piper Jaffray and Deutsche Bank in New York, advising technology hardware and industrial technology companies on mergers & acquisitions, equity financings and LBO transactions.

 Jeff holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA degree in English Literature from Dartmouth College. Jeff grew up in the Bay Area, now lives in San Francisco and is a lifelong Golden State Warriors fan.

Since starting at Runa in September of 2012, Konstantin has put his knowledge of start-up support and project management to good use in his role as Academic and Education Programs Manager and then as Associate.

A certified Project Management Expert (PME), Konstantin holds a BS and MS degree in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science.

Nick is a Principal at Runa where he works out of the firm’s Palo Alto office. Prior to joining Runa, Nick was an early employee at Coinbase where he worked on marketing and business development. Nick has been featured in publications like the Wall Street Journal and Entrepreneur, has guest lectured at the Yale School of Management and currently publishes a newsletter that covers decentralized protocols called The Control.

Prior to Runa, Nick also worked as an Associate at North Atlantic Capital and an analyst at First New York Securities. He has a BA in Economics from Bowdoin College and also spent a year at the Yale School of Management prior to moving to Silicon Valley.

Peter is a Partner at Runa and has been with Runa from the beginning. Applying his extensive knowledge of strategic planning, business development and business and financial operations, he provides guidance and support to Runa’s portfolio companies.

Peter brings an outstanding record of growing businesses, improving operating performance and realizing exit potentials to the team. Most recently, he served as CFO and COO of Parallels. He also worked for Fast Search and Transfer, where, as EVP of Strategy and Operations, he defined the strategic roadmap that led to a successful $1.3B USD acquisition by Microsoft in 2007. Peter holds an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH, USA; a MS in Computer Engineering from the University Central Florida in Orlando, FL, USA; and a BS in Computer Science from Embry Riddle University in Daytona Beach, FL, USA. He currently resides in Naples FL, USA.

Ruslan started his career as a strategy consultant with IBM, working on initiatives across Europe, USA and Asia. His experience at IBM included developing growth strategies for IBM product portfolio and improving business performance through business analytics and optimization. Ruslan received "Best of IBM" award as one of the top 500 employees worldwide. He holds a master degree in Mathematics and Mechanics from Moscow State University

Serguei is co-founder and founding partner at Runa and has co-founded several global enterprise software companies including Acronis, Parallels and Acumatica. After several years away from direct involvement from Acronis, Serguei is currently back in charge Acronis as CEO.

Sergeui is a self-made entrepreneur with a 20-year track record in investing, building, growing and leading global high tech companies. His investments, both personal and professional vary from middleware/IT to quantum computing, that later through the Quantum Wave Fund, a venture capital fund he founded. He received a B.S. With honors in Physics in 1992, an M.S. with honors in Physics and Electrical Engineering in 1995 and a Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2007, all from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology
